2018 The bearers

Banal objects seem worthless, but remind us that it’s necessary to occasionally look closely at the environment that we think we know so well. The perishable objects carry the present and will later remind us of the current stage of our lives. When we become aware of these objects, we become aware of our present life. This is an attempt to get a grip on what is remembered and what is forgotten. Focussing on young students who are starting their collection of objects, this series makes us aware of the perishable present and the fact we will one day look back on what we are doing right now. Time does fly by and it’s worth standing still and admiring its swiftness.
